Our rugs are hand-finished, made right here in the West from 100% NZ wool and fully tufted in 60oz - 100oz pile weight. For the home decorator, our rugs provide a unique opportunity to extend your creativity and skills, to provide for every room of the house.

Custom Made Rugs

Artisan Rugs recognises our customers' need to be individual. At our factory we have the ability to produce custom designed rugs to suit these needs.

Over the years our products have been used in many hotels both in Australia and overseas; Five Star Hotels, Sheraton and Mirage Hotels, to name a few.

To create your own unique design, follow these easy 4 steps.

Start up
Decide where the rugs would be placed and look for surrounding patterns. Measure the area where the rugs would be covering.

We can produce rugs of any design and shape. There must be a maximum of 6 unique colours. Most drawing software can be used. Should a longer length be required, set the design vertically.

Most drawing formats are accepted. File must be at most 50kb (hint: save image as GIF.)

If you choose to modify our patterns, follow these steps:

Step 1: Start up
Decide where the rugs would be placed, and look for surrounding patterns. Measure the area where the rugs would be covering.
Step 2: Select desired pattern
Go to the Rugs page and browse for a desired pattern.
Step 3: Downloading
Place mouse pointer on desired pattern. Click on right mouse button. Select "Save image as". Save image in your desired directory (Hint: save at Desktop.)
Step 4: Opening pattern
Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint.

Once in Microsoft Paint, click File > Open. Select Desktop (or specific directory where pattern was saved.) Select GIF (*.gif) on Files of type. Select the file name. Click Open.
Step 5: Editing

Click on the paint bucket icon.

Select the desired colour from the palate (by clicking the left mouse button).

Once complete select Save as under File. Select Save Type as > GIF. Make sure file size is less than 50kb.
Step 6: Email
Email the finished design to us for evaluation and quotation. ( artisan@space.net.au )
